No single oil has the complete ingredients to keep the body healthy. The blended unrefined vegetable oil improve the functioning of the heart, reduce the infection like HIV, TB, cancer and improve complexion by preventing the wrinkle formation. Every vegetable oil has its own benefits on health and when they are blended the overall effect is far greater than on single oil. The best combination should be polyunsaturated fatty acids  which includes omega 3 and 6. Groundnut oil, palm oil, soyabean oil, safflower oil and canola oil have these two types of PUFA and hence a blend of oils is important in controlling diseases. Palm oil and soyabean oil are rich in vitamin -E which is powerful antioxidant and protect body against cancer and coronary Heart Diseases.

Palm oil and rice bran oil contains another important substance Tocotrienols in large amount that have anti-cancer properties. Carotenoids present in these oils are antioxidants and rich source of provitamin-A. Sesame oil enhances antioxidant activity of Tocopherals and Tocotrienols. It also improves the thermal stability of vegetable oils containing high PUFA. The high intake of saturated fatty acids increases the risk of Heart diseases. Replacement of 5% saturated fat by unsaturated fat reduces CHD by 42%. Saturated fat increases plasma cholesterol by inspiring LDL cholesterol uptake by liver.

Coconut oil has no adverse effect on CHD risk factors. Lauric acid present in coconut oil is antibacterial and anti-viral. It inactivates HIV virus. So it is best suited for treatment of AIDS. Vanaspathi is not recommended as it is rich in Trans fatty acids (15 -45%) which effects heart directly. Reduction of 2% calories from trans fat reduces the risk of CHD by 53%.

The presence of omega-3 in blended oil helps in normal brain development and visual function. It also helps in the treatment of Ulcerative colitis and Arthritis.
