This recipe is rich in fibre due to kuthirai valli rice, onion, curry leaves etc. Kuthirai valli rice is not only rich in fibre but also contains more anti-oxidants. It is 6 times more nutritious than wheat. It has the ability to bring down the high sugar level to the normal.
Diabetic patients can enjoy this tasty recipe.

Ingredients

  • Kuthrai Valli Rice - 100gm
  • Onion (medium) - 1
  • Green Chillie - 2-3
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Black Gram Dhal - 1tsp
  • Bengal Gram Dhal - 1tsp
  • Ginger Paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves - little
  • Salt - To Taste

Instructions

  1. In two table spoon of heated rice bran oil add mustard, dhal, curry leaves etc for seasoning.
  2. Then add chopped onion and ginger paste. Saute it well.
  3. Add two and half cup of water and allow it to boil.
  4. Meanwhile wash the rice.
  5. Then add the rice in boiling water with required salt and allow it to cook in thin flame.
  6. Keep stirring it oftenly.
  7. Remove from the flame when rice is fully cooked.
  8. Serve it hot with mint chuttney.
