- In first trimester ginger based recipes are good.
- During first trimester liquid diet will be easily digestable- Ginger syrup, fruit juices, vegetable soup, thin butter milk etc.
- Avoid too much of coffee and tea.
- Avoid soft cheese and fried items.
- Avoid snacks in between the meals.
- Avoid half fermented curd.
- Avoid too much of garlic in cooking.
- Don’t refrigerate the curd as it will lose its probiotic actions.
- Avoid half boiled egg and take fully boiled egg.
- Avoid all kind of animal liver which is very much rich in vitamin- A which may leads to toxicity.
- Always take neatly cleaned and fully cooked meat, poultry, fish etc.
- Milk is good for high BP pregnant women.
- High BP pregnant women should avoid spinach and fenugreek leaves.
- Fruits are rich in carbohydrate. So Gestational diabetic patients should take care, while taking fruits.
